What is the dmi Practicum?
A ministry practicum is similar to a required residency for a medical doctor. It is a place to gain specialized knowledge, with hands-on experience, under the supervision of a seasoned practitioner.
The DMI Practicum is one year/four 13-week quarters, and consists of:
- Specialized Knowledge = The Four Pillars
- Hands on Experience = Multiplying disciples within the local church
- Seasoned Practitioner = Validating Pastor/Credentialed Ministry Leader
At the end of the one-year practicum, DMI students can be licensed to ministry with the recommendation of the validating pastor.
After an additional year of validated service on the field, the DMI graduate can be ordained.
